Situation: Situated on the cliffs overlooking Porto Novo Beach, this family-friendly beach hotel is some 65 km north of Lisbon and a short distance from Obidos, Ericeira, Torres Vedras and Mafra. The centre of Maciera is approximately 3 km from the golf hotel, where guests will find links to the public transport network and a bus station. The shops in Santa Cruz are around 6 km from the conference hotel and Torres Vedras train station is approximately 15 km away. Lisbon Portela Airport is around 60 km from the business hotel and Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is roughly 280 km away.

Lodging: Each room is equipped with an en suite bathroom with shower, bathtub and hairdryer, as well as a double or king-size bed, direct dial telephone, 21-channel satellite TV with house video, wireless Internet access and a safe. Each room also features central heating and a private balcony or terrace and rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors also have air conditioning and a minibar.

Services: The spa complex, renovated in 2008, is a comfortable, air-conditioned property with 252 rooms which welcomes guests into a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, hotel safe, cloakroom and lift access. The hotel's facilities include a games room, disco, room and laundry services (fees apply), hairdresser, restaurant and a congress centre. Guests may also make use of the TV lounge, children's playground, café, bar, WLAN Internet access (fees apply), car park and bicycle hire service.

Board: The hotel has a high-quality restaurant specialising in regional cuisine, which serves a buffet lunch and dinner, as well a buffet breakfast, all with a magnificent view over the Atlantic Ocean.

Sports: The hotel's facilities include heated indoor and outdoor pools with children's swimming area, poolside snack bar and sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. For a fee, guests may use the gym, sauna and steam room, or relax with a spa or massage treatment. Also available for a fee are diving, windsurfing, pool/snooker, horse riding and biking. Other sport and leisure activities available to guests include tennis (two on-site tennis courts), table tennis or surfing. Guests may also practise their swing on the on-site golf course with putting green, driving range, clubhouse and spa (fees apply).

How to arrive: Either from Lisbon and Oporto, take A 8 highway. Exit the A 8 at exit 9, at km 44 (Lourinhã/Ramalhal). After the toll, turn left towards Lourinhã. After 2 km, turn left towards A-Dos-Cunhados/Golfe/Hotéis/Praias. Continue for another 2 km and pass by A-Dos-Cunhados village. Keep going straight ahead, following directions for Vimeiro. After 4 km, guests will reach a roundabout with a soldier statue in it, where they should turn left (do not go to the right towards Vimeiro). Immediately afterwards, there is a gas station on the right-hand side of the road and the Porto Rio Village sign. Turn right immediately after the sign towards the hotel. After 1 km, guests should reach Maceira Village. Go straight ahead until the next roundabout. Turn left for Hotel Golf Mar/Golfe/Hotéis/Praias. The hotel will be in sight after another 3 km.
