Situation: This hotel is situated in the spa town of Curia to the north of Coimbra and between Lisbon and Porto, in a quiet and relaxing location amidst gardens and vineyards.

Lodging: The pleasant rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, an Internet connection, and satellite/ cable TV. A minibar and a hire safe are also included in the welcoming rooms as standard.

Services: Built in 1920, the hotel comprises a total of 100 rooms set over four floors. This fascinating building in Art Nouveau style offers guests the traditional elegance and flair of the 1920s. Facilities on offer include a foyer, a cosy hotel bar, and an atmospheric à la carte restaurant serving both national and international cuisine. Room and laundry services are additionally on offer, as is public Internet access. Younger guests can let off steam in the children's play area, and there are parking spaces available for those arriving by car.

Board: At lunchtime and in the evenings, guests may select dishes from an à la carte menu.

Sports: There is an Olympic-sized swimming pool in the well-kept outdoor complex of the hotel. Sports enthusiasts can play table tennis, or billiards/ snooker, or try to improve their handicap on the golf course located next to the hotel.

Comments: Smoking and non-smoking rooms can be booked. Pets are welcome.

How to arrive: From Oporto take direction south and from Lisbon take direction north on A1 Highway and once are on the highway take exit Mealhada.
