Situation: This hotel, a country house only 50 m from the village centre of Portel, lies about 40 km from Évora. The nearest public transport stop is 500 m away.

Lodging: The pleasantly fitted rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a minibar, an Internet connection and satellite/ cable TV. Suites are additionally equipped with a balcony.

Services: Constructed in the 19th century, the 2-storey building was renovated in 1999 and comprises a total of 30 rooms of which seven are suites. Facilities on offer include a foyer with 24-hour reception, a games room and a public Internet terminal (charges apply). Guests' culinary wishes are catered to by the bar and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant (a cookery course can also be taken in the renowned restaurant). There are parking spaces and a garage available for those arriving by car and room and laundry services complete the offerings.

Board: A breakfast buffet is available every morning. The meals may be selected from the set menu.

Sports: The outdoor complex of this comfort hotel features a swimming pool and a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. A billiards table is available in the games room and an entertainment programme for adults completes the offerings.
