Situation: This stylish hotel is situated on a cliff, overlooking the sea, with a magnificent view over the bay. The hotel is built in a traditional Algarve style, with a Moorish influence. The centre of Carvoeiro is only about 1 km away and is easily and quickly reached with the hotel bus, which runs 2 to 3 times per day. Hotel-owned Vale do Covo bay is found 50 metres away (accessed down a flight of stairs that is restricted at high tide). Further beaches are located only 900 metres away. Scores of shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, discos and clubs are just 80 metres from the hotel. Faro airport is located around 50 km away.

Lodging: The comfortable rooms come with an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, radio, minibar, tea/coffee maker, central heating, air conditioning and a safe.

Services: Renovated in 2003, the hotel offers a total of 293 rooms spread over 6 floors, of which 4 are suites. The hotel offers a large, peaceful garden. The hotel has a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a currency exchange desk and 5 lifts. Additional facilities include a newspaper stand, a bar, a games room and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant with a separate non-smoking area and highchairs for children. In addition there is a conference room, WLAN Internet access, room service, a laundry service, medical assistance as well as a bicycle storage facility, a car park, a kids club and a children's playground.

Board: Guests are offered a buffet each morning, midday and evening. At lunchtime and in the evenings, guests may also choose to select dishes from the set menu, or take the à la carte option. Special dietary requirements may be accommodated, including the availability of low-fat options.

Sports: Guests are offered use of the pool with a children's pool, a poolside snack bar, sun loungers and parasols as well as a Jacuzzi, a sauna, a steam room and a massage service (additional fees apply). Sports enthusiasts will be able to take advantage of the gym, archery, basketball, billiards as well as tennis, table tennis and minigolf. In addition, it offers an entertainment programme. The nearest golf course is located 15 km away.

How to arrive: On leaving Faro Airport, take the road that will join the E.N.125 and follow the blue signs to the highway IP 1 - Via do Infante, direction PORTIMÃO /LISBOA. Follow the IP 1, direction PORTIMÃO/ALBUFEIRA/LISBOA and maintain the direction PORTIMÃO until the exit for LAGOA SUL/CARVOEIRO. You will merge onto the main road EN125 again, now direction LAGOA/FARO. Than you will pass the 1st traffic lights (roundabout), keep straight and on the 2nd traffic lights (roundabout again) turn right to CARVOEIRO. After 300 mts there is a sign for the Carvoeiro Golf Club to the right, don't turn there, and keep straight on, for about 5 km, leaving on your right hand side the Intermarché Supermarket and Cepsa petrol station. As soon as you arrive at the main square of CARVOEIRO, turn left and go uphill to the top of the road. The Tivoli Almansor is on your right, 1 km ahead. Distances: Faro Airport - 55 Km. Lisbon - 250 Km (IP2 Lisbon - Algarve entering the IP 1 Via do Infante at Albugeira crossing and following directions as above). Seville - 260 Km (IP 1 Via do Infante from Vila Real de Santo António, following other directions).
